Online Safety Training Program

Welcome to SMC Environmental Health and Safety Online Training Program.

This Safety Training Program is focused in achieving the following goals :

•Reduction and control of Environmental hazards.
•Prevention of Accidents and Injuries.
•Maintaining Safe conditions for patients and significant others, visitors and staff.
•Maintaining a therapeutic environment that minimizes unnecessary environmental stresses for patients, visitors and staff.


There are several training and educational subjects that were provided previously to the SMC Employees in a conventional group presentation or discussions. Now, it could be completed through an online course. These are mandatory trainings that should be attended by the employees such as Fire Safety ,Emergency Preparedness and General Healthcare Safety as required by Accreditation bodies and external enforcement agencies or authorities.

Some of the training programs are departmental specific or optional like Hazmat & MSDS, Laser Safety , Radiation Safety etc., some of which are soon to be uploaded in the website.

In order to complete the online training programs, kindly read the following instructions:


→ Login to the Training Exams using your HR Portal User Name and Password.
→ Kindly read through the uploaded Online Learning Materials Power Point Presentations or PDF files of your chosen training module.
→ After reading it through, go to the examination links to start taking the test.
→ Make sure that before you attempt to start the exam,you should have read / studied the learning materials to pass the exams.
→ There are 20 questions in each topic, you should get 80% and above to pass each subject.
→ If you failed, you can re-take the examination until you get a passing rate.
→ Upon completion of your exam, the result including right & wrong answers will be sent to the EHS and to your personal emails/outlook.
→ Access " My Dashboard" on EHS Portal to obtain your certificate and to file a copy in your HR Employee file.
